For the large size only!
Riding winners are determined by two factors, form (pose) and natural ability (paired with a splash of randomness).
Here is an example of a Lepitaur riding pose:
~Animal should be in a trot (either direction)
~Feet should form an "M"
~Back should be level (saddle is allowed and can help the leveling)
~Animal should appear friendly, not tired, not aggressive, not disinterested.
~Head shold either be in profile or facing the camera.
~Eye(s) should be focused on the camera.
After the best "form" are picked out (at least three per contest), natural ability among them comes into play. For each of these "best," a random percentage is generated (using a computer, dice, or other method). These animals' features can add or detract from their final numbers. (Added numbers are advantageous, subtracted are hinderance.)
~Foot Fluff +15%
~Fluffy ears +15%
~Fangs -25%
~Curl tail -20%
~Light pupils -20%
~Mane +10%
Note: Because dice are rolled, an animal who is at a natural disadvantace can still win over a "better" one. This simulates the luck involved, and because animals can have their good days and their bad ones.
Additional Rules
Only the large size Lepitaurs may enter.
Saddle is allowed but not required. (You can download it here: geocities.com/vickiebreedz/id15.htm )
Modified (hex-painted) Lepitaurs may enter.
Mixed breeds or hybrids may only enter hybrid competitions but can earn points by the same scale as pure Lepitaurs.
Points
Entries are usually accepted for a month and points are awarded depending on the number of entries. (The same picture(s) may not be entered two months in a row.) When ties occur, both entrants get the higher number of points.
When you win, feel free to take a ribbon!
