Competitors in the conformation show must be in a traditional show pose, which you can see here: venitell.proboards49.com/index.cgi?board=pose&action=display&thread=1121652534
Conformation, however, is not based on posed exceptas a final consideration. The show pose is simply used to help show the pet off in good form.
Lepitaur "breedz" are jusdged against a standard. Standards can be found in these forums:
Pure Lines: venitell.proboards49.com/index.cgi?board=apl
Cross Lines: venitell.proboards49.com/index.cgi?board=acl
For each feature that is "full points," the animal receives 2 points to their score (note, these are not "show points" toward a title, just judging points for the show). Half points is 1, otherwise it is 0. Animals that are not pure blood from the line will be disqualified.
Animals will also be graded on their form, attitude, and pose. Some cross line breedz might have fierce personalities, and this should be reflected in their expressions. They should look alert and interested, not sleepy or distracted. They should have a good profile, poise, and not be too thin or fat.
Placements
Shows should always run for a month to accept entries. Places and points, however, mostly do not depend on the number of entrants. (The same picture may not be entered two months in a row.)
First, a Best of Breed (BOB) is chosen for each breed. A Best Opposite Sex (BOS) is also chosen if at least three members of the gender are present.
From the best of breeds, a Best in Show (BIS) is selected. A Best of Group (BOG) is chosen from the other group. (The groups are Pure Line and Cross Line.)
(I'm working on ribbons... Conformation shows will not be open until a few more selective breedz are recognized and standardized.)
Show Points
BOB = 2 points
BOS = 1 point
BIS = 4 points
BOG = 2 points
Titles
Grand Conformation Chamions should be retired from conformation shows.
~R.C.Ch. (Reserve Conformation Champion) = 5 points
~C.Ch. (Conformation Champion) = 15 points (5 must come from non-BOS)
~G.C. Ch. (Grand Conformation Champion) = 30 points (10 must come from non-BOS)
